LFW- Zoe Jordan

You know how every now and again, you stumble upon a collection/designer and you're like 'damn, how have I never come across this before??' Well this is Zoe Jordan, and I am clearly not the good little fashion student I thought I was to have not noticed her until now. After spotting her collection at London Fashion Week, I quickly did some research to find out that Zoe is the daughter to F1 boss Eddie Jordan, hence the motorsport references, which combined with Celine-like minimalism just happen to create my ideal line. One to watch for sure!

Late Night Hype

Zara coat with fur
Topshop leather joggers
Nike Huarache LE Size? exclusive
Nixon Monopoly gold watch

It's almost impossible for me to find a time when the sun is up and a photographer is free. I prefer the dark anyway, I'll just be the night-time blogger.
This is a rather delayed 'what I got for Christmas' post. I searched the globe/internet for the perfect all black coat, set my heart on the below Zara studio jacket and sulked for days when it sold out. Thankfully, this update with fur hit the stores just in time for Christmas. The Huaraches were a present from Lukas, a big thank you to Nike and Size? for finally making huaraches available in smaller sizes. I'd been waiting and waiting.

LFW Christopher Kane

Christopher Kane Womenswear AW14 at London Fashion Week

Possibly one of my favourite collections from this week and one of my favourite British designers full stop. Whilst some people were shocked by his use of nylon, 'bin bag' like materials, this did not bother me in the slightest, probably due to my love for anything dark and shiny. Oversized silhouettes on sweaters and trousers as well as boxy shaped dresses stand out for me the most and are sure to be strong throughout AW14. The white, neon green and pale pink accents were a nice touch to an otherwise black collection however my one criticism would be the knitwear which was way too garish for my taste (see below). Agree?

Accessory Watch

Nike SB Janoski Max Black
Takeover TOUK woolly hats
Zara crackled leather clutch

Here are my top three accessory picks for this month.
Many people may have their doubts about the half-Janoski-half-Air Max creation and so did I until I saw them in all black with a white speckled sole. Literally my ideal colourway and due to release some time this month, my (unfortunately student) bank account no longer allows for £90 trainer purchases but I'm working on it. Somehow.
New TOUK hats are also due to release any time now at www.toukcrew.co.uk. Whilst I'd usually go straight for the black, the grey is looking real nice and they are the perfect fit too.
And once again, Zara go above and beyond with their new season collection including this crackled leather bag. I have the worst habit of losing anything that isn't attached to me (ie clutch bags) but fabric this beautiful is surely worth holding on to. Maybe I should end my self imposed ban on clutches.

Spotlight on: Stampd

Hailing from Los Angeles, Stampd are the perfect blend of high-end minimalist style and bold streetwear designs. Pretty much my new favourite brand, I'm not sure if it's the products or the photography that appeals to me more. Whilst I'm sure that SS14 will be filled with florals, pastels and other girly shit, Stampd demonstrate how black & white, clean lines and sports-luxe styling will still have a place when the weather gets warmer.
I highly recommend you follow their Instagram @stampdla. You'll thank me later...
