Wear It Black

Back to Fashion student life and back to having time to raid the internet for inspiration. Here are some of my favourites featuring fashion, accessories, interiors and art. As you can tell I've been looking up a lot of Alexander Wang and Celine as well as the usual streetwear sources... so I guess this post is more aspiration than inspiration. It's not an 'if' it's a 'when'.

Milano

Zara leather vest and shorts, Topshop bomber jacket (so so old), Vivienne Westwood bag, Nike Dunk Sky Hi- City pack Milan.

I posted about these shoes a while back, well guess what...I found them and I bought them. Even though I'm not a massive fan of wedge sneakers anymore the colour/fabric combo is just too good to miss. Top and shorts were a Zara sale purchase, Zara really do do the best sales. Except the top is 2 sizes too big and the shorts are 1. Oh well, sizes don't count when it's a bargain.

Fashion's Favourite Kid

Now I'm used to having fashion envy off various bloggers/style icons across the world but the most recent comes in the form of 5 year old Aila Wang, neice of Alexander Wang. And oh my god does she kill it. She stepped out last weekend at New York Fashion week in a matching 'Parental Advisory' tee to those down the catwalk at Wang's show, teamed with a leather snake skin mini skirt that I would do anything to own.
So basically not even kids need to wear colour anymore. Black is Best. Aila is taking over.

Lost In Amsterdam

Amsterdam Part II

A visit back to Takeover's favourite city was long overdue. The weather was sweet so we spent most of our time chilling by the canals, smoking and people watching. We went to all the best spots from last time such as Hill st Blues, Patta and the canals just outside the Red Light District. New spots included streetwear store Concrete (amazing- you can check out there blog here) and a little skatepark just outside the centre with a graffiti wall. We spent hours discussing a plan to eventually move out here, even if only for the summer next year. So get your ass down to Dam cause this city is the one!

Shai Spooner Designs

I urge you all all to check out Shai Spooner's new menswear collection now. As an established fashion stylist in the music industry (and a guy who always looks fly himself) it was bound to be a winner however I can't quite believe he got it so right. Lambskin leather, monochrome, clean shapes. All made to order in London. Yes.
Shai Spooner Designs is the perfect collision of streetwear and high end fashion which really is what it's all about. You can see the new collection and get inspired here.
